About this retreat
This one-day zazenkai brings together BIAPOC (Black, Indigenous, Asian, and People of Color) practitioners for an intensive sit. Led by Hojin Sensei, the day follows a traditional format: zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), oryoki (formal eating practice), chanting, and direct teaching. The retreat is explicitly welcoming to both experienced students looking to deepen their practice and newer students using the day to prepare for a longer sesshin.
At $25, the retreat is accessible and affirms the center's commitment to creating dedicated space for BIAPOC practitioners in Zen training.
